Cellist _ Sang Eun Lee

Cellist Sang Eun Lee graduated from Yewon School, the Korea National Institute for Gifted in Arts, and studied at the CurtisInstitute of Music. 

She won the first prize for Isang Yun Competition, Johansson International Competition, KBS KEPCO

Music Competition, Joongang Music Competition, and she is awarded the second prize for the Young Tchaikovsky

International Competition, and Kyunghwa Jung scholarship at GMMFS. After winning the Young Concert Artists International

Audition in the United States, she signed as an artist for Young Concert Artists (YCA) from 2014 to 2018 and performed throughout the United States, and was heavily featured in The New York Times. In addition, she won the Korean Concert

Society cello recital audition held at the John F. Kennedy Center and the Kumho Cultural Foundation's musical instrument

rental audition and awarded the Special Award at the Emanuel Feuermann International Competition. She made her debut

with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 10 and performed with the KBS Symphony Orchestra and the Suwon

Symphony Orchestra. She was invited to perform at the Blue House, the Young Tchaikovsky International Competition Gala

Concert, the closing ceremony of the Kronberg Academy Festival in Germany. In addition, she performed the UNHCR World

Refugee Day 20th Anniversary Celebration Performance, and she performed her recitals at the Louvre Museum, Isabella

Stewart Gardner Museum, Kennedy Center, Chamber On The Mountain, and she made her successful debuts with the

Orchestra of St. Luke's at the Lincoln Center. 

Sang Eun Lee is currently a member of Cellista Cello Ensemble, teaches the Korea National University of Arts and the Korea National Institute for Gifted in Arts , Seoul Arts High School, Yewon School
