DAEJEON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA DPO requires New Players as follows:
Principal Player: Viola, Horn, Trombone (3 people /each 1 person)
Tutti: Basson (1 person)
1. General requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent
2. Documents
* The following requirements are for only International Application.
* The requirements for Korean application are can be seen at the Board of the website, www.dpo.or.kr
-Application form (with 2 photos)
* Please download an application at Board of the website, www.dpo.or.kr
-CV (written in english)
-Career experience (written in english)
-Statement of purpose (written in english)
*Applicants should indicate in a short paragraph the reasons why they apply for the position.
-Graduate certificate
-Copy of passport

** International applicants must send a money order of USD 6
Korean applicants must send 5,000won.
3. Audition
General rules
All the candidates will be required to play the list of music attached in the 1st round.
After the 1st round(performance), juries will select candidates for the 2nd round(interview).
The selected candidates after the 1st round(performance) will be required to be interviewed in the 2nd round.
** Any string players who are required to submit 7 copies of solo music they will play to the juries according to the Music List following this notice have to do on the day of 1st round.
4. Schedule
Application
-Notification: Mar. 3rd, 2011(Sat) ~ Mar. 18th 2011 (Fri) by 6:00pm
-Registration: Mar.16th 2011(Wed) ~ Mar. 18th 2011 (Fri) by 6:00pm
1st. Round: Performance
When: Mar. 25 (Fri), 10:00am
Where: Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra Rehearsal Room
Notification of result: Mar. 28(Mon), 2011
** Any string players who are required to submit 7 copies of solo music they will play to the juries according to the Music List following this notice have to do on the day of 1st round.
2nd. Round:Interview (only for the selected candidates)
When: Mar. 30th 2011(Mon) 4:00pm
Where: Daejeon Culture & Arts Center, Conference Room
Notification of the final result: Apr. 1st 2011(Fri)
**The finally selected ones will be both contacted personally by DPO and noticed on the news board of DPO website.
