비올라 _ 김사라

비올리스트 김사라는 독일 멘델스존 콩쿠르를 비롯한 6개의 국제 콩쿠르를 우승하며 주목을 받아왔다. 1988년 한국에서 태어난 비올리스트 김사라는 만 7세에 바이올린 공부를 시작하였다. 그네신 영재음악학교를 마치고 2006년 독일 베를린 한스 아이슬러 국립음대에 입학하여 디플롬 과정을 마친 그녀는 그 후 바로 같은 대학에서 프리데만 바이글레의 제자가 되어 비올라를 전공하게 되었고, 2012년 심사위원장인 타베아 짐머만의 극찬을 받으며 석사과정을 최고 점수로 졸업하고 그 후 베를린종합예술대학과 뮌헨 음악 대학을 졸업하였다.

메클렌부르크포어포메른, 슐레비히 홀슈타인, 그슈타트 메뉴힌 페스티벌 등의 유럽 저명 페스티벌 초청 리사이틀과 실내악 연주에 참여했으며, 베를린 콘체르트하우스 오케스트라를 비롯한 많은 오케스트라의 초청으로 협연을 하며 솔리스트로도 인정을 받았다. 2013년 독일 주립 브라운슈바이크 오케스트라 수석 비올리스트로 발탁되어 이듬해 종신 수석 단원이 된 그녀는 2016년 여름 한국인 비올리스트 최초로 바이로이트 바그너 축제 오케스트라 단원으로 초청받아 입단하였다. 그 밖에 바예른 방송 교향악단, 중독일 방송 교향악단, 함부르크 필하모닉, 서울 시립 교향악단, 하노버 국립 오케스트라, 뉘른베르크 필하모닉, 빌레펠트 필하모닉 등의 객원 수석으로 꾸준히 초청받아 연주를 하고 있다. 19/20 시즌부터 2년간 김사라는 라이프치히 게반트하우스 오케스트라의 비올라 수석으로 활동하였다.

모교인 베를린 한스 아이슬러 음악 대학에서 2년간 학생들을 가르치고 뮌헨 음악 대학에서 전공 비올라 겸임 교수로 4년간 후학을 양성한 그녀는 현재 라이프치히 음학 대학에서 겸임교수로 재직하고 있다.

 

Viola Sara Kim

Violist Sara Kim is the first place winner of 6 different international competitions including the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb in Germany. Born in Korea in 1988, Sara Kim followed her parents to Russia and started playing violin in Moscow at the age of 7. After finishing her programs in Gnessin special school of music and Gnessin state musical college, she moved to Berlin in 2006. There, she attended the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music, where she earned a Diploma degree in Violin. After completing her Diploma degree, Sara began Viola studies at the same academy under Prof. Friedemann Weigle. Sara is also a graduate of the Berlin University of the Arts and University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. As a soloist and a chamber musician she has performed at venues such as the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and the Gstaad Menuhin Festival. After experience as a substitute in the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sara played as the principal violist in the Staatsorchester Braunschweig for 6 years and in the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig for 2 years. She was a part-time lecturer at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music and also an adjunct professor at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Currently she teaches students at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig.
